Chris Brininger

Chris Brininger received his joint B.S. in Biochemistry and M.S. in Chemistry from Idaho State University in 2019 where he studied the design of a halophilic peptide under Dr. Caryn Evilia. He then received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2024, working in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Cameron, where he studied calcium carbonate precipitation by nitrogen fixing cyanobacteria. During his PhD, Chris Brininger completed a NIH Biophysics traineeship and was involved in many department outreach and improvement initiatives.
